The Omachi Studio, which we've been preparing for little by little since last month, is now open for the public. It is a meeting space that is available by appointment only.
Although it is a small space, the studio is a revitalized old Taisho-era building built the year after the Great Kanto Earthquake, and I think it has become a classic space with a great atmosphere.
Recently, it has taken a long time for customers to access the Shonan area, but with Kamakura-Omachi located near the Yokohama Yokosuka Toll road, I think it will be more convenient for meetings in the future. Plus, JR Kamakura Station is only a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to access by train.
I am very happy to announce that we have joined #clachic, a group of people connected by the spirit of "no wood no life", We are pleased to announce the launch of the m4 show space in the office of #clachic.
As a new attempt, we are going to set up a show space for m4 in the office of #clachic. We have decided to set up a show space for m4, a woodworker atelier in Matsumoto, who is also a member of Somamichi, a general incorporated association. Paddle SUS round table and leather chairs made of larch, which are used for meetings, are especially comfortable to sit on and feel. All of m4's pieces used in the studio, including the furniture, are available for purchase, so please feel free to contact them anytime.
In the future, we are also thinking of using live video to hear Daisaku Maeda explain his work in person without having to travel to Matsumoto. I think the social distance has changed greatly with the Covid disaster, and many new ways of doing business have emerged that we were not familiar with before.
As a design office, we would like to provide a wide range of assistance to help people create their lives, including finding land and consulting on furniture.
